The remaining third was just pants. What makes this significant is the size and scale of the crap. Its measured in billions of pounds ......

I bought some black nitrile gloves on Temu in an introductory offer thing. They were about £4 a box of 100 and are brilliant quality.

I get the black Nitrile textured gloves at £10 a box of 50x from Screwfix now. They are very good quality and I'll get several days use per one pair. Only when they eventually tear do I swap one out.

When i posted initially, id only used one set. Im not generally a fan of this type of glove, as i find they tear quicker than the (cheaper) vinyl ones, but ive used a few more pairs since, and have been surprised that, most of the time, when ive taken them off, my hands are still clean.

Im almost tempted to buy another 500

I tend to use them under a set of thin “proper” gloves if I’m doing something that will likely rip them. For example something like these https://amzn.eu/d/5w9LSn9

I even sometimes do it the other way around, ie wear latex gloves on top of work gloves, if I’m temporarily doing something wet

I buy those black gloves from screwfix (not as cheaply) and, generally, they get thrown out as they're so grim inside, rather than they're actually destroyed.

The double bagging may be the solution.

Their shop is local to me, I used to buy my gloves there, Tiger Grip @ £10 a box. Then during covid they put the price up to £32 a box! I haven't bought a box from them since!

They're moderately better than I at first thought.

Bought another 500-off last night as I'm going to run out at some point and doubt I'll be able to find any more for cheaper than £2.72 / box when I do!

I bought 500 of these & due to the unique way my brain works (ok, I'm a numpty) I ordered XL instead of L so they're a tad large for me. Looked at sending them back but as it was my fault I would have to cover postage. The price had also went up to £19 so to swap them for the correct size them it would have cost me nearly £10 so I'm going to keep them, they'll do as an over glove.

I did have a nice surprise in that I got an extra box of 100 gloves free with the order, a different brand of glove but the same decent quality. The box was damaged so I guess they couldn't sell it so gave it away instead.

Now they are back down in price I've just ordered another 500, the correct size this time!
