I could do it if i had the some involute gear cutters my life depended on it.
Don't underestimate how long it would take, possibly 4 or more hours A pro would maybe do it quicker.
The teeth could possibly be built up with TIG then re cut.

If the teeth could be built up and recut that would do it's just I can't cut the teeth myself and I don't know if it would be as strong a a new one

Totally agree, it's a hell of a lot of work to make them but not impossible.

Might be a better solution to try and get a couple of old gears or gear rings, of suitable size, then take the old teeth off with a lathe and then machine/bore the rings/gears, (for an interference fit), then heat and fit the rings.

but would u realy want to make 2 of them for someone unless they were like rocking horse poo and u were given a few hundred quid to make them .can think of better things to make

Yep, that has to be a lot of work, from what I see it's cut tooth by tooth, bit by bit, that's got to be most of a days work?

I remember I had a Kyosho RC Car once that I couldn't get an original spur gear, But an alternative fitted perfectly fine.

Not if they are sintered gears.

Would you be able to get the teeth plasma cut then machine the old ones of and bore the new ones out to push on the old ones

I think they are too small for plasma. Laser could do it but unfortunately this repair could cost more than the car.
I can ask a retired friend if he's interested but i reckon it would cost you over 150 quid

Cutting the teeth is not too time consuming. It's the setting up before you start the cut that is the ball ache.

This was my first attempt at gear cutting a few years ago for my table saw. The plastic one was chewed up.




I used a single point cutter that I made from scrap and a broken tap ground to the correct profile.

No they won't best part is if you could still get them they were only £4.00 for the two of them
