Hi Guys,
Was using my Mig the weekend as I needed to do a bit of practise not using it for a while.
As I had about finished the regulator gauge was increasing and then pop-off valve went.
The regulator below is just about identical as the one I copied from Amazon. Same as many others just rebranded many times.
Removed reg body and there was very tiny greenish debris in there. Crap, sealant, seal, crap?
Removed internal nut, spring diaphragm etc.
Unable to push and remove he top pin that is depressed to allow gas into L/P side. There was that greenish material, same as the debris around it and it was half crumbling away. With an o-ring pick then able to carefully remove enough to push out.
It did appear like it was not a seal, if it was it had degraded badly, more like a sealant which I was unable to accept.
At the moment I assume there is a seal. The pin screws out to perhaps hold the seal in place? Doubt it is available but hope someone knows more on this.
Appreciate any experience of this, thanks in advance.
