After all these years of messing with cars and trailers and the likes out side in to cold wet British weather i now have the chance to build a garage/workshop, it will be going in place of the conservatory we have now which is 15x10 foot. The garage will be 30x14 internal as it will be the full length of the house.
Now then raising the roof bit, i would love to fit a 2 post ramp in there, fairy cheap now aswell. The problem i have though is that i cant build the garage higher than 7`6" foot due to neighbour ha s a kitchen window facing in line with the area it is going. Now like i do i have an idea where i can still fit and use the 2 post ramp. When i need it i just lift the roof section then drop it back down at night.
The roof section above the ramp i could have it like a pop top camper, lol, sounds mad but as it will be a flat roof and GRP covered this should be easy to do, around the opening a 50mm high lip to keep water out etc etc you get the idea.
One thing i am open to is how to lift the roof sections, rams, cable, give me some ideas chaps.
