No guns needed...went to the Cosford air museum today and there and back through lovely Shropshire i must of seen 30 Pheasant been hit by traffic

Breasted some pheasant out . Its been in the slow cooker all day. Its falling apart

How hard are they to hit? Could I buy a gun today, go out and have duck for dinner?

Shotguns are pretty easy to gain a licence for. Wanting to go clay shooting is generally enough reason to apply.
Shooting over land is more difficult, in as much as gaining permission. A lot of places I used to shoot for pest control were approached by syndicates willing to pay daft money to shoot a rabbit and so I lost it. I’ve been lucky and my new house borders onto land with a very pleasant owner so I now have 170 acre to play on

The same over here in Ireland, shooting could be had for the asking, i had loads once upon a time, gave most of it up, too many soakings and too much walking after a weeks graft. I used to love snipe shooting, hard to hit and a real rush when one got up jinking through the air.
