Nothing personal at all, apologies if that seemed implied. I've read this whole post from page 1, there do seem to be a lot of people who can't F1. That, as well, is fine.

After one of James Hunt's crashes at Monaco, he didn't bother walking back to the pits, instead he kept a female fan entertained for the afternoon.

I don't know why they bother interviewing any of the drivers, except Kimi. Bland corporate speak, thanking everyone. It will be terrible next year. We need another Kimi or Eddie Irvine to stir it up a bit.

Now I start watching a minute before the lights go out, and switch off as they drop the flag and show the results.

This is great. A “Guess the missing word” quiz. Could it be - like, abide, miss, stomach, understand, follow, watch, enter?? The list goes on.

A fast laptime the car will look slow. A faster looking car will inevitably be slower. Don't ask me why , but it does.

Wonder if Red Bull have an ulterior motive for letting Alex Albion join Williams?
My thoughts are that Williams will change to Honda/Red Bull power systems for 23.

Not F1 but "we" are racing at Snetterton this weekend, team bodger, I will be there on Saturday so if you see a red / cream MGB running aound give it a wave, I will be based in the pits as they don't make fire proof race suits in my size!

'stand' is the missing word for ten points. By the time I noticed the edit option had gone.

So the second go at a sprint this weekend.
I am not keen on the format, I think it all just adds time to a weekend of viewing that most people do not have. Stick with qualifying on a Saturday and racing on a Sunday and go back to a 15 race season.

Agree. " I've got a great idea to make F1 cheaper to compete in. How about we have 2 races at each meeting so they can wear out the cars quicker and at the same time have 2 chances of having accident and doing even more damage." " we can charge the punters and TV companies twice and make even more profit"

The sprint races have been added in place practice 3 and give more competitive track time instead of cars circulating for the sake of the teams acquiring data.

I really like the concept but it won’t be as interesting as it could be until the low turbulence 2022 cars come.

Not long enough and loosing laps to a safety car is plain stupid.
All it's done is throw "luck" higher up the equation.

FP sessions for hours were boring af, and too much data makes the races too predictable, that's why they shortened practice sessions to an hour as well.

I don't mind the sprint race but I don't like that it is the qualifying for the main race. I think both races should start on the Friday qualifying grid. Any bad driving could result in a grid penalty for the sunday race maybe..

Reverse grid order would make for a great race with the fastest starting last.

That would work if both races were based on friday qualifying. If not everyone would go slow in qualifying to get pole in in the sprint then win sprint for pole in the main race. Possibly they could get around it by awarding points for qualifying positions too.

The FP sessions might be boring for the punters but I have a feeling that the teams might be working their socks off .
