Hopefully that is one of the things the FIA will be looking into. It does seem strange that a “supposedly solid” barrier was in use at that point. As you say the TecPro would have absorbed a large amount of the energy making the accident a lot less severe.Maybe, but there are continuing improvements being made to Tec Pro to try and keep it on the ground. However in this case I think the Tec Pro would have taken the majority of the energy out of the car and kept it from being ripped in half.
