Very lucky guy, terrible crash. Those cars need fenders around the wheels or the whole car like dodgems.
It's not as easy as they make it look. For many years I was an avid formula1 fan, lost all interest in it with constant dumbing down on tech, rule changes and driver penalties for just about any wrong doing. May as well watch scalextric`s,in years gone by every race was packed with hungry drivers, drama, clever pit strategy and wheel banging shenanigans.Watching the fastest car disappear in to the distance unchallenged race after race and earn its driver world titles year after year does not float my boat. The only racing going on is midfield

Analysis of the run-up to the crash. From watching this, Grosjean's actions are a lot more understandable, especially if (as is possibly the case) he wasn't aware of Kvyat's presence so close.

He has. Martin Brundle has commented on this on a few occasions. And it was a very abrupt move; it gave Kvyat no chance.Interesting analysis, but you can't ignore the fact that Grosean has a history of 'coming togethers'
keeping his distance and not fighting the fire at the base a half hearted effort and not enough of iti think a lot more training is in order and some more extinguishers round the trackWTF was the firefighter doing
I thought that. The one I saw did not have helmet on......WTF was the firefighter doing
Maybe, but there are continuing improvements being made to Tec Pro to try and keep it on the ground. However in this case I think the Tec Pro would have taken the majority of the energy out of the car and kept it from being ripped in half.Nick,
Maybe a moot point but Tec Pro isn't very effective in preventing penetration as its designed more around absorbing energy and not providing penetration protection on inadequate Armco barrier.
Different to the one I saw.He was in full fire gear, with helmet
