I thought he was a dead man, for sure. Just shows how much secondary safety has improved over the years. Apart from anything else the halo undoubtedly saved his life. And the marshals reacted brilliantly. Having said all that, the onboard footage from Kvyatt's car made you wonder what Grosjean was thinking when he pulled the manoeuvre that caused the accident. It's maybe best for all concerned that he's not got a drive for 2021.

For many years I was an avid formula1 fan,lost all interest in it with constant dumbing down on tech,rule changes and driver penalties for just about any wrong doing. May as well watch scalextric`s,in years gone by every race was packed with hungry drivers,drama, clever pit strategy and wheel banging shenanigans.Watching the fastest car disappear in to the distance unchallenged race after race and earn its driver world titles year after year does not float my boat. The only racing going on is midfield

Looks like he cut to the right assuming he was already Infront of the car on his right. Seen it in karting loads of times, almost always it's the kart in front that comes off worst.
Don't think they will be mending it for the race next week

I don't know what he thought he was doing as there was no space at all to move across especially the way he just wrenched the wheel right like a london bus driver!
Looking at the back end of the car it still has the hoop attached, it looks like he somehow go fired through the Aramco still in his seat without touching anything!
Driving like that he's probably better of in stock car racing....

I do not think we will see him in an F1 car again. He is married with 3 children. I know he has no drive for 2021 but that has to be a career ending shunt.

marshal wants relearning on fire safety on about so far away from the fire and hes triggered it

bad crash but like bob no longer holds an interest for me anymore though will admit they needed to take the tech out of the cars was a very unfair advantage to williams and maclaren
boring as hell nowadays i agree on safety but theres not much left in f1 id rather watch indie than f1 nowadays
