Got an Suzuki SJ in bits and we’ve chosen a metallic black for the refinish close to what it had from the factory.
I’ve got black base coat, and I’ve got the metallic black.
Plan is to knock back the old paint with 400 grit, fill and base coat until it’s a uniform black.
Then knock back with 600 grit and shoot it with the metallic black and then polish.
What am I missing! Seems fairly easy and logical. Will use the intermediate grits up to 800 before the top Metallic.
I’ve got a basic compressor and I’m thinking about buying a budget devillbloss gun to remove that variable.. I’ve got paint from Hugs paint… and I’ve got sanding blocks and some Upol filler. Will grab some dolphin glaze for the top.
