Think you are probably talking about the same thing.
Neutral is usually the insert position such as left, neutral, right.
Inserts are usually positive or negative.

Just looked back on Cutwel is was an SSSCR

Ah ok, positive insert, too expensive for me, only 4 cutting edges
Also much weaker but often required for a lower powered lathe.

Still 1.5hp is not that tiny unless it is a Chinese 1.5hp

Mad that this lot cost me a good bit less than the single Technik holder. Brand new Iscar tool, still with the plastic insert in when it came, and some shop soiled Kennametal finishing inserts.




I still wish i had a tool to use the other corners of old inserts, though... it saddens that tightwad part inside me
