Forget this and get on with the decluttering - "procrastination is the thief of time".
But we're talking bench grinders?
Cordless bench grinders??
The only guarantee that comes with something like that is one of disappointment
Bob
It takes ages to change the wheel on a bench grinder. Take the guard off, hold the spindle still somehow while you figure out if it's a left hand thread, rummage through the recycling bin for a cereal box to make new blotters, put the new wheel on, fight the cheese grade screws back in the guard that doesn't really fit, adjust the tool rest, redress the wheel and get back to grinding. But we're talking bench grinders?
You forgot the regular cash top ups for replacement batteries! You provide the cash, I'll replace all my mains tools with cordless versions, Shouldn't be more than a couple of grand, I'll send you my bank details.

One of my assorted ex-wives worked as a temp for ICI at their Billingham office block (now demolished) - she said there was one of those lifts in there.Been in one in the UK, years ago, in a hotel we were working in. Can't remember where. Mate might know but he's even older than me!
What you really need is a sturdy mounting cabinet, with shelves and a quick release bracket...
Trouble with that is finding my vice under all the stuff " I might need" in the workshopAs above my bench grinders are mounted on boards with a piece of angle screwed to the bottom to be held in the vice for use
I am doing movable items but I need to weatherproof them as its not good to have to wheel then in and stop work every time it rains.I was going to build a trolley for my bench Grinder so I can wheel it out, use it then put it back again.
As said further up the main problem with the carrousel is cable management. Probably end up using a slip-ring arrangement like they do for alternators etc.
Use damp proof membrane cheap and fairly toughI am doing movable items but I need to weatherproof them as its not good to have to wheel then in and stop work every time it rains.
Still trying to find decent priced canvas in roll quantity....
just looked at this thread and can’t believe no one has spotted the obvious solution is to build a grinding annex onto the workshop
