got out of the house at 11 went and got armoured cable for job cut the concrete path up with stihlsaw and kango hammer new cable fitted to garage and connected. job done . got fed and watered while there at a distance of course freezers in garage up and running again early finish

Inactivity is something to be very careful with. Hit me the worst a couple of years ago after returning from busy in Finland to no work. Started with a lack of motivation and moved to depression and later anxiety on top. Lasted a couple of years and I didn't enjoy it. Best finding ways to avoid that sort of thing and walk around the hole, especially as any way of climbing out of the hole is banned at the moment.

We're lucky on here in that we have practical skills. We can find stuff to do, and can take the opportunity to learn new skills. Trick I have is to get stuff organised for a job, then start the job the next morning without looking at the computer first. Suppose it might annoy the neighbours a bit when I'm setting up at 7am but works for me.

just start at 10 on a sunday let them have a lie in a few years back me and a mate were wiring a street house 8 am sunday morning chiselling up the wall with a kango hammer a big fat slob with loads of tatts and just a pair of pants on kicked the door open and said mildy would u mind not making as much noise please we were wanting a ly in ohh sorry about the noise sir we will keep it down yea rito he was full of it effing and blinding and threatenin me then he went . my mate said wots up with him after he left .he said
I just stood back and said nothing and let him get it of his chest if he had kept on me mate said he would have chinned him my mates quiet but he can handle himself . for a laugh I was gonna go next door and ask him if he would lend us a brush and shovel to sweep the crap up

some old biddys phone not working so going to fix that in morning then going to creosote the fence its only 7 foot high and 12 yards long been putting that off for a while not the nicest of jobs to be doing

lol i went and wired 2 houses in the south of France for a couple of mates I didn't make a fortune and saved them money but I just went for experience of it and a bit of a change

one was in the middle of winter and one of the coldest on record . there was ice on the inside of the windows slept in sleeping bag with blanket wrapped round me fully clothed and still nearly froze to death till I got some heaters wired. up the second was red hot 3 story house had to do the upstairs starting at 7 in morning till eleven am then it was 2 hot to work so then did work downstairs . woke up one morning and a bloody bat hanging off the ceiling light was just looking at me the next day a bloody snake in the cellar shifted it out with a stick dunno what it was or if it was dangerous but wasn't takin a chance

I tend not to do over nighters these days as i like my home comforts too much...having said that it could change if i had bailiffs knocking on my door looking for money i never had

Spot on! I feel sorry for those elderly folks who might have to be 'self isolating' like many of us, but doing so 14 floors up a multi-storey. Scared to use the lift, can't manage the stairs etc. Us lot have got it made
