My 40 year old Snap On multimeter is dead, although I am loathed to bin it.
I’ve pulled the back off, nothing seems obviously wrong with it, new battery fitted, rotary switch operates correctly and distributes 9v around the circuit board, reseated the only chip on the board but no life from the gauge on any settings and self test doesn’t work.
Anyone any ideas before I chuck it?
