The Argentinians would have to fight the South Africans and Irish that live there
the Manx are a minority there now.

I was there ,,, and really wouldnt want to repeat the experience , and not for the obvious reasons either ,,, I will add no more than that.

If i am correct Argentina has a hard right wing Government right now (Javier Milei) they will be using the "island" as a political prize to the faithful voters...Pretty much like the last dictator did when he was falling from favour, but he came unstuck

Bit of an odd comment "on the sidelines' when your first post in this thread specifically mentioned Argentina . Until then nobody had said any thing about the Agentines spurious claim. I don't know what that's called in the States but in the UK it's called stirring it.

Given how their military is currently faring they would be foolish to attempt anything - ours is much smaller than in 82 but by most measures is leagues ahead of the Argentine force - for starters the raf have a squadron of typhoons based on the islands which weren’t available in 82, and the Argentine fleet is in a shocking state…

We were lucky first time around, no doubt - but comparatively we are in a much better position today than we were then.

I suspect that whilst the argies may have moved beyond teenage conscripts, their equipment hasn’t really. Their aircraft are by and large outdated and would likely be smoking wrecks before they even got a visual on the falklands. Their navy isn’t much better and we learnt some serious lessons last time about fleet defence.

I’d put reasonable money on them not even hitting the beach if they tried it again

Ask your customer for the image in a 'vector format' (.dxf .dwg .cdr .ai .svg etc) If its not available ask for a high resolution image (the bigger the better) and i'll redraw it..

Wasn't a fair bit of the Argentine hardware supplied by the Israelis last time around?

I would imagine that would not be happening again.
