By coincidence I was discussing longevity of 121 with a friend this week, we both commented that the UV resilience is not great on the black and light we have both used over the years as it seems to go Matt and slightly powdery. No major rust issues to complain about though.
That's one of the features of epoxies, they are not UV stable and will chalk in sunlight.
It doesn't affect the a performance of the coating (i.e. keeping the steel or base isolated from air, moisture, chemicals etc)
If you want / need the coating to preform aesthetically (i.e. a wide range of colours that don't change hugely over time) then just apply a finish coat over the epoxy.
This also applies to the epoxy "top" coats.
