Was on in the background. Not a lover of football really but al least the ladies seem to play with a good level of commitment. Nice to beat Germany as well.

I'm not a football fan, but good for them - The German team were disappointed because if they'd won they were all going to be awarded a calor gas cylinder to take back home

I’m not a football fan in the slightest but I do enjoy watching the best of the best, Man U, World Cup, FA cup etc.

I watched a bit of it but there was very little actual skill on display.

I'm definitely no football fan but have followed their progress through the tournament, a great final!

What has impressed me with all the teams is how they just get on with the game. If there's a foul, they get up and move on - none of the playacting or histrionics so prevalent in the mens' game.

Watched it with my 7 year old. There’s at least one young girl they’ve inspired good on them. I’m sure we will see benefits for years to come.

There's no reason I can think of why womens football shouldn't be as good as the mens. Except of course in power, stamina and fitness levels but who wants to watch that.

Fact is though at the moment it is nowhere near the level of mens professional football. The womens England side would get thrashed by a third rate third division mens team. I am prepared to believe some of those women could play for a professional league mens team and I find it curious that they don't. Is there a law against women even applying to play for a professional mens team??

No diving, full commitment, pretty girls, whats not to like. The way both sides got into the opposition box put Wales mens side to shame.
