use a mk 4 fen trap with chocolate on it it sorts grey squirrels out as well if u put it in a large pipe or a box with open ends or if not under a building find the hole and flood it with propane then add some oxygen plug the hole with some wire wool atatch leads stand back conect to battery and watch the ground lift next trick drop a ferret in the hole bolt them out stand back with shotgun and a terrier . make sport out of it as well

Sounds a bit like the rodenator, the ONLY drawback with this brilliant plan, is our liberal laws, the rspca say you MUST ensure all animals are OUT of the burrow before using this method.

I thought the whole idea was to kill the bloody pests, not disperse them over an even bigger area

We had rats after some thieving s**t knicked half the manhole covers from the drains behind our house.

Spoke to a mate who's a pest controller and he recommended a bait box and bait (as we have young kids and a dog I can't just scatter it everywhere.

Havn't seen any for a while now, they were under the shed for a bit but i'm hoping they've all gone, found a couple of dead ones so it's definately working.

will last you years
dont use outside tho and be carefull with it for non target animals

i came accross a rat dying at my mothers house looks like it had had warfarin as it was bleeding, anyway i wanted rid of it so i gave it a few heavey clouts with a spade but it was rambo the rat it just wouldnt die. well not until a good few clouts later, hard as nails it was

Was at a Indian restaurant owner said there was no power to his commercial fridge took the bottom cover off and began squeezing under to look for the plug, clicked my little LED torch on and came face to face with a pretty sizable rat gave me a bit of a shock at the time as we were staring eye to eye, he didn't flinch at all though, well he was dead and had started to dry out having been there for quite a while I would say, open drain underneath the fridge that kitchen must have smelt something terrible.

used to work the greenhouses many many years ago and you knew when there was a dead rat down one of the bays.

Always managed well with spring traps, bait them but don't set them for a couple of weeks. Replace the bait as it goes and then start setting them.
