Electronic Rat Killer ideas

hi guys i keep alot of chicken and at the min im getting overrun with rats
was wondering if anyone out there with any electrical knowledge would now how i could make a trap like this

why reinvent the wheel. Sprung loaded traps are cheap and work

WE tryed one of them did not kill a single rat or mouse had to use poison worked well.

use a mk 4 fen trap with chocolate on it it sorts grey squirrels out as well if u put it in a large pipe or a box with open ends or if not under a building find the hole and flood it with propane then add some oxygen plug the hole with some wire wool atatch leads stand back conect to battery and watch the ground lift next trick drop a ferret in the hole bolt them out stand back with shotgun and a terrier . make sport out of it as well

Used the spring traps in my garage. Peanut butter works well. The trick is to put it on both top and bottom of the trigger. When the wedge their nose under the trigger to get the bottom side, thet gets them.

Then they got in my house. The traps worked but i also resorted to the poison bait as they were in narrow places that the traps did not work well.

As foe the electronic one, you'd need to step up the car bat to hundreds of volts.

they've been making them since 1999, so someone must be buying them. Shouldn't bother the chickens, but might drive the rats off. Prevention being better than cure again...

Wax Bait Is Even Better As Mothers Ingest Poison And Pass To Little Uns Back At There Nest Site.

Got Rid Of An Infestation At Work That Way Along With Remedial Work To Fill Obvious Access Holes Etc Also Used At Home When The So And So's Got Into Me Garage.

Must Be In An Appropriate Feeding Station To Keep Pets Etc Out.

I've had a lot of success in the past with fen traps as well. I never used to bait them, I just set them on the runs. I've never used propane, I used to pump petrol down the holes with a garden sprayer, had quite a lot of fun with weedkiller copper pipe bombs as well.

It uses oxygen and Propane. I am willing to have a go with one of the purple cylinders, as long as I can have a teenager to operate it.

Wow! Inventive types out there. With good sound tracks too.
Sent one of the guys out to get some rat poison, as we had one (?) around the w/shop. Came back with RAT GLUE. I kid you not, Supposed to put a circle of round some bait. They get stuck on the glue. Thought it was a conn. Then read later that the EU had banned it, as inhumaine... S'cuse me, can you be unkind to rats? Perhaps they got a union with a rep in Brussels.
