What's the thoughts on these?
Now my 3 phase vfd conversion is complete, on my (Chester) Chinese 10x22 lathe, I'm looking for the next modification. Just something to keep me busy!
I think the change gears are a pain on these lathes, not just to change but noisy too!
I'm thinking of the clough42 conversion.
I'm not good with computers. So downloading the software scares me a little. Fitting the servo motor and encoder, I will enjoy making the bracketry etc.
It would be nice to change feed rates at the press of a button, and then there's the simplicity of changing screw cutting pitches in both metric and imperial.
So, what's your thoughts?
