is the led power supply / driver simply 240

You should be able to drop a resistor in the low draw side and it shouldn't need to have a very high value but its gonna get hot! So it will need ventilation and/or a heatsink.

not ideal though and would need to be a decent wattage, id just replace the whole power supply led driver supply included with a transformer based abled to do the job
