I was in the workshed just now and went to check the battery charger. It was off. Thinking the fuse must have gone for some reason, I plugged it into another circuit to check and it came on. I checked the other sockets on the run that the charger was originally plugged into and they were all off.
None of the breakers had tripped.
There are three radial circuits in the shed all coming off of a main board that has a 3-phase supply. The other two radial runs are fine. More investigating reveals that the lights in the shed next door, the sockets on this one of the three radial runs and the three phase supply to my ramp are all non-functional.
I have checked the breakers a few more times and had a brief look within various parts of the conduit the cables run through but I cant find an obvious fault. I havent had the covers off so I can see all of the cable runs in detail yet. Dinners ready and its cold out there so I have come in. I was half thinking rodents might have chewed through something, but surely a breaker would have gone in that case?
Any ideas on where to look next or what to concentrate on?
I havent had 3-phase before we got this property so dont have much experience of it. Is it possible that the lights and sockets are on the live of one phase and that isnt working? Might have to get someone in to look at this if there is nothing obvious to check.
