You should see my mates hands....they are trashed. Problem is with skin problems once they start they don't stop....just get worse and they seem to spread too.On a serious note, I just detest using gloves. Can never get on with them.
I suffer from contact dermatitis so use gloves for everything (this annoys folk when I am using rotating equipment) but if I don't then my hands become very sore indeed!
Washing up liquid if used neat just cracks my skin up but there is a warning message on the bottle![]()
Seriously ..Sound advice, but..., where's the fun in safety.Parm may well be giving me the dead-eye now,
but if you're gonna go, do it in style.
Besides, as I said to someone recently: I survived twenty odd years of marriage; I'm obviously invincible.

& stop being a c**t to yourself & family .
So, what is the best hand cleaner? I have years of ground in dirt that nothing I found so far will clean.
Bags I first dibbs on your stuff when you shuffle off this mortal coil early then Matt .Slight flaw in your argument, there,& the answer's still no.

Bleach. Im not joking either. Put a cap full in the hotest water you can stand. Let them soak while giving them a good scrub. So, what is the best hand cleaner? I have years of ground in dirt that nothing I found so far will clean.
It goes without say (does it) CAUTION must be used.
I forgotten it was the OP asking the question![]()
If his hands are coming up like that from using relatively mild detergents, bleach will probably play havoc with his skin. Plus you can't get rid of the smell for ages.Does work well though.

Bloody Hell lucky person. I’m investigating an accident where a 21 year old fell into a cold “trike” tank
His funeral was a couple of weeks ago
I litre of Raths PR88 ordered.Rath's PR88. Its actually a protection cream but it also makes for a fantastic hand cleaner (and restores your skin as you do it). Nice marzipan smell to it too.
Wonderful stuff.

even washing up liquids bad for hands it dries the skin out and removes the natural oilsThanks Parm, I just imagined without reading the instructions that any wash up liquid would be ok for cleaning hands. Suppose it's ok for the housewife when just a squirt is used in a sink full of water. Well, lesson learned, that's quite dam sore at the moment.
After being appointed the HSE man for our workshop & attending three days at HSE HQ near Earls court , we had a special session dedicated to hygiene & prophalatic use .I wear gloves for everything outside and in the workshop now - 6 years of being a mechanic in the 70’s did for my skin and anything other than water will now irritate my hands and start them cracking up. Hygiene was a joke back then - the workshop tea boy would put out a bucket of hot water before each break, tough luck if you were last to the trough. We did get barrier cream which helped, but putting diesel soaked hands into my trouser pockets to fish stuff out left me with some nasty rashes...
