Money is paid out automatically AFAIK.Mrs Robo has been looking at Vinted, how do you get your money out of the account, is there any % fee like Paypal?
No sales fees, buyers pay a buyer premium though.

That was one of the issues a lot of people werent happy about, basically ebay can take funds from your account anytime they like for refunds/fees etcHow does the purchasers dispute system work now if the ebay system pays the seller direct? In the past when using the ebay/paypal system any disputes were dealt with and paypal refunded the money, can ebay now draw back funds from a sellers bank account if there is an issue?
Bob
Ebay have always been able to collect fees automatically IME.
Lots of fuss about nothing, but then we fear change.
This is my experience with eBay also,No issue with it here
Item won by buyer. He pays. eBay pays it to my bank next working day minus fees.
What exactly is unfair
Does that also mean ebay will honour/underwrite the refund if a seller has no funds to claw back?
Bob
Paypal were regulated.
Luxembourg, part of the EU thus providing protection to EU citizens. Not to my knowledge they were. Maybe in California or somewhere but for many, many years Paypal were their own regulator.
That makes senseeBay had to change to suit it's customer base.
A big change from its origins. More organised seller and less private auctions. Competing with Amazon
I have used both ebay, GumTree, and the local paper - from a success rating point of view the local paper surprisingly has proved to be very effective. Try it, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised. It looks like we are all fked for selling then. EBay used to be OK but I think I might just close the **** account I set up yesterday. I've never joined fb and to be honest it never appealed to me. All I want to do is sell off most of my welding fab gear I might just try the local paper
Second payment is next working dayMothers not happy here’s my take on the fleebay payment system and why mother is not happy, she has been doing the buying and selling for the family for years. She sold a couple of items on the new system a couple days ago where it stated the money goes directly into your bank, here what she’s just read on the payments regarding her payments
Buyer paid on Thu, 5 Aug 2021 Processing - to be completed on 08-Aug
Buyer paid on Fri, 6 Aug 2021 Processing - to be completed on 09-Aug
talk about shooting themselves in the foot
it is strange it might pan out over time though. Mother prefered the old system at least with paypal you could use the money to buy other bits.Second payment is next working day
First is odd. But perhaps payment cleared Friday and next working day was the Monday
Have you added postage? It now costs 81p to sell a 99p item, due to fees.
They won't do it. Mainly because they class a business as merely selling over a number of items.I've been trying to get my eBay account swapped over from buisnes to private and ended up having to close the account loosing 11 years feed back. 10 years of that feed back was private and they were happy to use that for the buisnes. Anyway I feel ripped off so where is the next best option to sell?
Try Amazon.. Purchased a boring bar and it says it's temp delayed BUT I can have a refund and keep it if it arrives.I bought a strimmer spark plug, 15 minutes later, refund, out of stock. Left it a few days. same seller, now 12 in stock, ordered, refunded again. I messaged him to ask the problem, he said he can't get ebay to remove the item from his shop. Maybe twaddle, possibly not. Went elsewhere
