I've had Dyson's for decades now and I'm not a fan of the newer ones, too complex and flimsy, the DC01 does everything needed of an upright.
I've never bought one, I've had about 15 from the local tip, generally needing little work to get them back to good condition. Sometimes as little as cleaning the washable filters, sometimes as much as a motor. Once running they were get given to family and friends. I don't bother with the newer ones.
That's because they are more likely to be bought by people without the slightest knowledge of how to fix them when they run over the cable. present company exceptedJust go down to your local council recycling center and have a look at the small electricals section , 75% of the vacuum cleaners are likely to be Dysons!
Separator cost 12 quid. Works very well.View attachment 198569
have revived several, none of which had major issues, mostly not sucking due to blockages in pipes or filters bunged up, even 1 that had lain outside for a year ran for 3 minutes then imploded ,lol have an original dyson ,heavy as hell , made from durable stuff and still going strong. That's because they are more likely to be bought by people without the slightest knowledge of how to fix them when they run over the cable. present company excepted
