175000 miles and counting from my passat tdi 130 (+ !) on the original clutch and dmf, I have a very heavy right foot! Sadly it's just about to get replace by a Nissan Qashqai, it's been a brilliant car
One of those jobs..... the Yaris suddenly looks attractive until a nice warm spring day!my saab is similarly...improved...150 stock, running 180-200 via a dtuk box and a dpf gut done...and it shifts...just need to replace the gasket between the turbo and the downpipe...which is a pain in the butt todo (we are talking discombobulating the entire front end to get at it...)...hence I'm driving the wife's learner mobile yaris at the moment...yuck...
more than likely hoofing them regularly local wont do them much goodNot sure what kills these DMFs; I'm on my third Connect TDCi since 2003 and the previous two ran to 127K and 137K miles respectively without any problem. Maybe constant speed at motorway miles offends them less?
do it your self, cost of parts onlySounds like it may be a fair price then...
not a lot of option then, ive slowed right down in recent years aswell last dmf i did was a mk3 modeoThat would mean doing it in the road, so not too keen on that idea. Don't have a garage or even a friendly mechanic mate. The one I had gave up spannering a long time ago.
