get all my replacement ones from tracy tools good quality and not expensive. fast delivery . or sort of now with postal stikes

I bought some 11.8mm drill from them and they were so poor. They just did not want to cut all (the hole was pilot bored and 'stepped up' with increasing drill sizes).https://www.ukdrills.com/ This place is good. I use them often
I agree, the cheaper ones are 'not the best' I always go mid range pricewiseI bought some 11.8mm drill from them and they were so poor. They just did not want to cut all (the hole was pilot bored and 'stepped up' with increasing drill sizes).
Decided to just spend the money and get Dormer bits, they are always sharp and work very well for me.

drilling a small pilot hole overcomes the chissel flat on the larger drill bit from just rubbing
Fixed that for youIt'll always drill 8.2 or 8.3 until the day you need an oversize hole, then it will come out a reamer type fit at 8.0mmIt's a general rule of machining.
I need to master my little mini lathe, an older version of the Axminster C2 300. Five years ago I saw one advertised locally and thought it would make a fun retirement hobby. I don’t need to tell you folks how handy these little lathes can be for odd jobs. I’m embarrassed to say it’s not being used to anywhere near its full potential. But that’s all to come.Only for now.
We will wait untill you catch up.
