Here is a photo of my wood burner, it has a small gas bottle inside the big one connected to a water tank and a heating pump controlled by a pipe stat which heats a couple of rads in the wokshop. Good to know a plumber for the bits!

I can help with some kevlar/Glasstec rope if you wish,

If its good for a toughening furnace it will be fine on a stove.

looking at the photo with the expansion vessel, Is that a sealed radiator system your running Paul33? Just a note to anyone thinking of copying that if so (and not directing this at the design above, just a warning to others) - sealed hot water systems can explode if the correct vents/pressure relief valves are not fitted in the correct order with fatal consequences!! Also it is an offence to fit one without the unvented certificate (plumbing qualification) so make sure you take competent advice before doing one. notbeing a jobsworth but imagine 50 gallons of steaming water exploding round the workshop under pressure.....
But if correctly installed/supervised plan it will work a treat and cheap to run.

An oven door will be a type of toughened glass. Once glass has been toughened its virtually impossible to cut.

Not neccesarily, toughened glass is used for micro-wave doors and possibly the outer door of an oven. Log stoves rarely use toughened glass. They are only useful to protect against explosion and things falling on them.

Most likely to be a borosilicate glass that has been tempered not toughened. Try it and see... if it is toughened you wil not be able to cut it and it will probably shatter if you try. Else it should cut fairly easily. For safety wear face protection and tough gloves... just in case.

Do NOT try and drill toughened glass it could explode, so to could tempered glass but if you use the inner sheet from a dumped oven door that is unlikely... but drilling will weaken it for use as an fire door panel. It should be easy to cut to size and a damn sight cheaper then one from an oven parts supplier. If it it is large enough, just trim an inch off the edge as a trial. If it is very thick it will take a lot of pressure to break it.

as franks sais borasilicate is available but we tend to sell
mica ceramic glass wich is the stuff ya want really give me a size i will give ya a price it will come in a rectangle/square piece cut it with a glass cutter by hand be fine mica a bit thinner i think

Sealing woodburner rope ends

I got a reel of the woven glass type seal for a couple of fireplaces I was installing from a local wood burning stove supplier, works fine.

Maybe you can help me please? I have now ordered some new rope & don't know how to seal the cut ends so they don't frey again? any suggestion would be welcome. Thanks

Could you not just paint the ends with whatever adhesive you're using to fit the rope?
Something like Calfire Superseal?

The rope I purchased had a fire proof tape around the ends ask the people you are getting the rope from to supply a short length.
