what oil/diesel ratio can you use in a hpi engine? as told it wont work in them as clogs the pump?
Personally im unsure. As i have an old indirect injection engine so its not an issue. Wouldnt want to give you the incorrect advice an cause problems with your van. I think on newer direct injection engines people use twin tanks and some engine are just not suitable.

appreciate that,yup twin tanks/heaters etc, but unsure if its suitable at all on these 2.3 engines.

It smells and uses loads of fuel and churns loads of smoke out of the exhaust.
Nope its as factory......if my son cant get it to regen it aint ever going to do one.
Is mr muscle or TFR ok if it does not regen?
To regen you do not want the car to be driven hard, it needs to get up to temperature and then be driven at a reasonably constant speed for a period of time (30 to 50 minute overall drive)
Does anyone know if the Nav D40 has a regen light?

How do you know its not done one ?
Because the fuel has never dropped like a stone or smoke pouring from the back. Or a light on the dash...i was told the Nav has a light on when its regenning.

Not every vehicle has one --------some only have light when they havnt regenned to warn you to do a long run, you cant always tell, for instance I did a sprinter the other day and the only way I knew it had regened was, the exhaust temp went to about 800+ degrees on the diagnostic, coz you have to use merc star diag to regen them and I havnt got that,also they wont regen on a low fuel tank and they wont if the exhaust temp is not high enough, this one I had to blank off the complete front to cover the rad etc to get the temp up!!
If it hasnt done one in ayear I am surprised it is still running---- they only take a few weeks and they are full! when its happening the DPF literally can glow! and can set fire to the road !! I did one and it lit the tarmac so moved it onto concrete and it was making the concrete spit !

That is the problem in the winter, they dont get hot enough if a steady driver is behind the wheel.
Diesels take ages to warm up compared to a petrol. And the bigger the diesel engine the longer it takes!
