and made some extra room at the back with a hammer for the cable gland on the motor, for such a massive heavy cover the motor is jammed right on the bottom, can see the original scrapes on the inside from the back of the motor.
ill update the mpcnc thread with the saga.
this time only had 1.5 failures! can see above the spindle speed writing where the panel nearly took off from the table as it was on the final outside cut, got a bit dicey till i literally puled the plug
cut the rest out by hand.. but looks pretty good i must say.
anyway, mind elsewhere, needed a 0.05mm skim, dialed in 0.05mm on the dial, 25mm shaft now 24.95mm 
£140 delivered for a 2 axis setup with 5 micron scales? worth a shot!
i would of been more hesitant if this actually cost any great amount of money, but the scale was about £35, if it exploded its not irreplaceable.
but it worked.
came together a lot better than i thought it would.
but i need to stop over complicating things...Mount the dro read out on the wall.....no vibration. Id move it towards the chuck, as thats here most of the work and your eyes will be.
