I wonder if thats part of it. So switching it on and off is not good so I will avoid that..! But, it has run all night by some washing and worked fine as the collection chamber is full of water. So I go to empty it this morning, go back, put the drawer back in (so maybe a couple of minutes off) and it wont restart the compressor on replacing the drawer (the fan restarts). Turning it off and on at the plug and the compressor started up. Weird.One thing to cosider is, if the compressor is turned off and then back on again within a few secondds, it will stall and, if there's an overcurrent cutout, it will open for a couple of minutes, to save burning out the motor windings.
