True, but surely available to all Windoze spec's if the owner knows how to interrogate it?
Genuine observation

but to be honest reading all your replies and some reviews I am trying to upgrade an antiquated system and I will most likely find a Mobo and ram package for not much more...so will take a look around.
Pentium 4 were excrement and were replaced by the core family, core 2 duo, core 2 quad
but tbh, if you're just doing office work, browsing the web, emails, maybe watching a few videos etc. you might as well get a used ex-office dell machine on ebay

To clarify I am not intending on trying to improve my current system with xtra bits like faster processor etc
It was just a quick add extra ram I was contemplating but very quickly it was pointed out it's expensive and my board might not run with it..
If customers had settled bills I'd have clicked buy it now . Bargainyeah, best of sticking with it unless you want to do a fll upgrade
I know it's not relevant anymore, but I had a look before reading your replies
this is really good for the price :-)

General reply not just to knightly.
The packages I was referring to looking into was a second hand ex gaming machine. Board ram and CPU possibly graphics card but that would depend. Not sure if an ex office machine would serve my purpose better though.
No rush as I was only upgrading due to trying to learn Fusion and it was that slow it was painful. If you're not in too much of a hurry I'll probably be selling my current gaming setup shortly - i5-2500k quad core (@4.3ghz), 32GB of decent DDR3 ram (2 x Crucial, 2 x HyperX, both running 1866mhz) and a P8Z77 motherboard.
Not the latest tech but more than fast enough for most stuff. I'm pretty much only upgrading because I need more CPU cores for Virtual Reality stuff.
I upgraded to this a while ago from a Core 2 Quad like you have and it blew it away, to the point where I've had it years and never really felt I needed an upgrade to it. I do a lot of Fusion 360 including FEA simulation work on it and it's smooth as butter even with huge assemblies.

That's useful as I have an external drive and Blue Ray that are usb 3.0...yes :-) (it's got a mix of usb2 and usb 3.0)
only difference with the newer USB ports is they're faster, usb2 is 60meg/sec, usb3 is 625meg/sec
usb2 will be more than than enough for a blu ray drive
actually, I just googled it, you need 9meg/set to watch a blu ray quality film, so usb2 is plenty :-)
To be honest that's me all over...lol think I need some thing but don't know why. I actually got the blue ray as it is also a lightscribe burner but it never took off so any discs left on sale are stupid prices.......my main priority in the new year is to learn Fusion 360.....only difference with the newer USB ports is they're faster, usb2 is 60meg/sec, usb3 is 625meg/sec
