I know its not hot yet, well it could get a lot hotter.
Have a 2.5L tin in garage, at the back on a shelf, and a small 250ml, mostly empty tin in shed. Noticed the garage tin is puffed up at the seams so looks like the plastic cap is not venting. Any risk of it popping/exploding and making a mess, or worse? Should I do something, small hole in lid and covered with tape?
Photo is after venting it.
The small tin, even in winter, can pop open with some force, well I wanted to use a small amount. The lid went about 4 meters!
I put the lid back on. Stupidity struck - normally shake paints as a bit around the lid helps seal it. A few seconds later the lid popped, went even further, this time DCM sprayed up my arm and shirt Put the lid on again, popped. Once more, but this time wrapped with duct tape! Wont stop it popping but should prevent the mess.
