It is annoying having to have stepped it, but this photo might explain the necessity

If you can see the drop from the laser it's over 1m in the bottom corner. That's pushing it a bit levitating the fence high enough to limbo under, also I have my only neighbor there, so he might have a few issues
Anyway, the panels are not stepped, I build them so they slope
Which is also the main reason I don't want to lop 6 inches off of the gravel board to move the post, the panel going in is a sloper and chopping it down will screw the height, and I ain't binning 30 slats and battens.
Will be fine, im not going to lose any sleep over it
You cut the gravel boards into parallelograms and adjust the width accordingly prior to making your panels. You'll know for next time.
