Have found a nice 4’ folder to make but need a guillotine…..
so I have in the next year a load of custom cut sheet metal jobs…mostly flashings…
..u can’t buy lead or Zinc here….it's for my house….
will be using 8x4x0,5 mm galv sheets…. I don’t wanna mess up the galv with a grinder….
now the nearest place is almost 2 hours away so not practical to drive there for the odd job…it has to be done in separate jobs….
I know 4ft is on the limit for a non powered Guillotinée but I can put some weight on…..lol….
what I’m asking has anyone seen a home made cutter….
i got plenty of eng equip to hand….
have been looking for the last 3 years here and only seen 1x24” cutter….
i would really like an 8’ cut but happy to overlap and use shorter strips….
and no I can’t buy ready made flashing for this job…
all I have to cut sheets are new Gilbow's and an old Makita punch type nibbler which does a sh1t job of straight line cutting….
thanks for any help….
