If you really cant get a guillotine to do the job then a three bladed shear will probably do the job
Ive got one of those, a Lidl cheapy work really well, for the money, can’t fault them. The problem with snips, bench shears and roller shears is that one part of the cut has to distort to clear the throat of the blades so are really only any good for final trimming to a line, If you really cant get a guillotine to do the job then a three bladed shear will probably do the job, I have an air operated one, just a supermarket cheapy, I never expected much from it but over the last ten years or so its done an amazing amount of work and is still going strong, you can get mains and cordless versions too, with a bit of practice or the use of a straight edge straight lines are no problem,View attachment 361170View attachment 361171
I've access to Gabros and air shears, once you start going off the line with the Gabro you are finished - very difficult to manage 8x4 sheets even with the largest Gabros. With the air shears you can work on the floor (bit of old insulation ideal to support either side of the cut) and you can use the batten for a straight line or even freehand easy enough to stick to the line and correct if necessary. I love the Gabros but I'd still use the £20 tool over the £2k one on this situation!
Wrong tool for the job. Snips are intended for trimming where the off cut is small enough that it can easily curl up, 1/2-1" long. If your cutting 4ft sheets down the middle the result wont be very nice or straight.
There are these plans for a rotary shear.

Have you got a link to the YT video ? Or even a clue what ToT is please ?Bench shears will do it. However out of the box they can use a bit of modification adding a guide fence as shown in ToT's recent YT video.

You get manual ones too, Monodex shears. I mean, they're rubbish, I can't not-recommend them enough, but they do exist.

Just for those who may not have seen a Monodex here's mine and what it does, the ally is 2mm thick and more than the tool was made for, note how flat the sheet is though,You get manual ones too, Monodex shears. I mean, they're rubbish, I can't not-recommend them enough, but they do exist.
