A bit cold?
A bit cold?
If they MOTed their own work I'd be sending those pics to whoever has power to prevent them doing any more MOTs.
IIRC only possible within 3 months for corrosion issues. That would be VOSA. Apparently they DO follow up on complaints.![]()
The fully seam welded is true but the leave bare for inspection is a fantasyIts a lot worse from that angle ,,the lower edges may actually not be as bad as they look , but the top row of spots would not be back in the original manufactures methods , I cant remember the exact words , but basically its like for like , ie if it was spot welded from new then it can be spot welded for mot ,, Over there .
Here its simple ,,, all welds must be seam welded and left bare for inspection on a retest. And now you can see why its that way.
It certainly is not ,,, I dont have any mot fail / retest notices here ,,, but they used to print it on the fail form ,,, fact , not fantasy . Remember its NI where I live and the system here is different a lot different. The fully seam welded is true but the leave bare for inspection is a fantasy
ok i jumped the gun in uk no such ruling existsIt certainly is not ,,, I dont have any mot fail / retest notices here ,,, but they used to print it on the fail form ,,, fact , not fantasy . Remember its NI where I live and the system here is different a lot different.
no ,, its just the way it is here ,,, some stations are very strict on it , some not so ,,, its why the big thing here is to get the repair done before the test , then it can be repaired and undersealed and thats it ,, but if you get a repair to do after its failed like the little dihatsu thing Ive just done it culd take a while to get another test so I clear lacquered it ,, trouble is its outside the 14 days for a retest [ on a retest they only look at the fail points ] so its in now for a full test again , but the previous fail pos up on the computer ,,, its a pain , but its actually a fair system ,, but it can mean you have arch liners to strip out again and seal up or sillst to stonechip and paint after the retest .. hence the big emphasis on getting the repairs in first.ok i jumped the gun in uk no such ruling exists
