Depends how you define "best value"
For me it is the one that works well, lasts well has loads of power but may cost a fair amount.
I have personally used Hitachi(Hikoki), Makita, Dewalt all 115mm and I now own a Dewalt Flexvolt 125mm. The last wins hands down on all except price but for me that is not so much an issue because it performs much better than the others and is more powerful than most corded 115mm grinders.

We have all Makita between me and brother, also have Hilti at work.
I have 3 - an older brushed model, a variable speed brushless, and a fake brushless.
the Makita variable speed brushless 18v grinders are truly excellent grinders.
The fake one cost £30 and it works a lot better than the old brushed one, although not as good on power or battery as the genuine one. The speed control is rubbish, but at least it has some adjustment.
All on 5ah or 6ah batteries - the 3-4ahs aren't worthwhile.
While I wouldn't be without the genuine one...
I'd say best value for money (for me anyway) is a fake brushless and some genuine 5+Ah batteries. (I don't trust fake batteries)
The one that looks like a direct copy of the makita brushless.

Dewalt flexvolt, better than any cordless I’ve ever used. Not cheap but as said depends what you constitute as value!

Although the Fein is flipping awesome.
You've got to weigh up what brand you want to go with then stick with it for all your other power tools too. Because the batteries are the expensive bit and grinders do go through them.

Makita. Don't buy cheap.
I've recently bought the Erbauer battery grinder to go with the drill and impact driver set I already have.
I bought the drill/impact combo after a glowing testimonial from one of the Fitters in work whose had the same kit for quite a while and worked them hard (& he's a Snap-On Tart so any praise for other brands is grudging).
Tip - check with Screwfix online (if you're interested at all) and check the bare tool + 4ah 18v battery separate prices.... cheaper than buying the tool with the same battery bundle.
(Doing that means no case - but I fit all 3 tools, all 3 battery and the charger that came with the drill/impact combo - into one small Stanley tool bag anyway).

I have a Bosch cordless. I prefer my others though - the ones with a nuclear power station at the other end of the wire
I already had a number of Makita tools and batteries, so the choice of which grinder to buy was already made for me. I have been exceptionally pleased with it. The cordless grinder is by far my most used power tool.
For convenience I decided I wanted a 2nd cordless grinder and thought I'd take a chance on one of the Makita copies from fleabay. It's not as well made as the genuine article and not as pleasant to use (vibration and switch operation) but it is not bad really, and very good VFM. Performance is certainly acceptable, and both genuine and copy get equal use. One tends to have a cut disk and the other a flap wheel.

Can you get a 'copy' Makita cordless grinder with speed control? Or... does the 'real' Makita cordless grinder have speed control?? I've got spare Makita batteries but can't live with full speed grinders !!

I guess it depends how you see value.
Cheap to buy, but frustrating and poor battery life...

A lot of the newer gear in the site boxes at work is Milwaukee. If you look around you can get some good deals. It's good stuff, and some impressive capacity batteries around.

This was exactly what I got my (first ever) cordless Erbauer for about a week ago.... and it made sense to get Erbauer because I already had the charger and other batteries of same type.
In my workshop I'll have my 230v Makita for cutting, & A flap disc on the cordless.
However the cordless is also really handy as I'm out and about with work a lot, and quite often having the ability to cut a thick cable or Din Rail or whatever easily is what you want... so it goes in the tool bag with the drill & impact driver*.
(* impact drivers are brilliant time-savers and effort/skinned knuckle savers. Wish I'd got one years ago).
