InkscapeYou need to scan it Into something ink-something then create a dxf file using another bit of software.
Me thinks.
Iv made a cardboard template for a car part is there a way to convert it for plasma laser water jet cutting ? or can someone do it for me ?
Its just under 430 long and 130 wide so longer than my A4 scanner.
Thanks
Steve
Not sure. I know it exists on my table but have never used it. Maybe @Fraserb or @doubleboost have got good experience with it. Failing that Rob Rosetti at Xtreme is the man.Can you do a dimensioned sketch?

Inkscape will do it. If you go to your local library they will likely have a a3 scanner. I would draw an accurate box of known dimensions- 100x100 to help with scaling the rest of it when it’s scanned.
If you manage to get it scanned with a dimension as above then I may be able to do something with it. How soon do you need it?

Practise is the answer for inkscape, I can do things in a fraction of the time now compared to last year.
As I'm used to AutoCAD I downloaded this random photo off the web yesterday. I started tracing the roof lines, the individual window panes, the doorways and lintels then the gutter down pipes etc trying to draw from how you do your patio heaters.
Then I started on the bench and got distracted...
