I had another go this afternoon and where it looks right to me it runs terrible. Will just wait for the vac gauge now.I assumed it was my eyesight that was getting worse![]()

i used mine at nightAnyone used one? Just rebuilt my carb so need to set the mixture and using a colourtune. It’s not clear cut or as bright as I would expect. Does it need to be reasonably dark for them to be clear? I’m colourblind so am having a few issues trying to see the colours, maybe would be better if it was dark? I used a wideband sensor previously but don’t have a bung welded in the exhaust on this car. Any other good tuning tools that are used for setting mixture?
organised fuel leakThey were a contraption, most of the guys I know that fitted them spent a few days jumping up and down on the kickstart and then took them off. Carbs were once described to me as an organised fuel leak, not far off the truth

In '64 a couple of Lads in the next tent to us in the IOM fitted on to a T110 . tested it up the road and it went like s**t off a shovel. They decided to do a lap but ran out of fuel a Ramsey having filled up before they left. 25 miles to a tankful . Piece of drain pipe with a tube and a butterfly . I think Alf Hagon used to use them on his sprint Japs .They were a contraption, most of the guys I know that fitted them spent a few days jumping up and down on the kickstart and then took them off. Also used on tuned lambrettas, apparently they made better door stops than tuning accessories.A mate of mine dismantled one although theres not a lot to take apart, all it is is a single variable jet.A trip down memory lane with the Colortune. I used one on my motorbikes. Anyone remember the Wal Philips fuel injector carb? Worth selling if you have a pair in the shed as they're asking £500 a pair.
