conveniently i found camper drawings to the correct dimensions in sketchup warehouse. saves me a job.

lhs 9 slots for screw organizers. big section for dustsheets.
rhs 2 big drawers and shelves. access fro side door only. shelf on top from inside to keep door runner clear.

I was debating lifting the floor but don't think il bother. Plenty of room above racking to store levels/rails etc. Saves a lot of work and keeps the step in low as it's a rwd

Will put a hatch under the bulkhead. Should be able to get a few lengths of 5.1 through under the front seats if needed.

Also sold the trafic this morning. Took half an hour after posting on Facebook.
Result. Goes in the pot for mot work on this.
Gives me 1500 for repairs and remaining in budget.

Aye running really rough below 2500rpm and no throttle for the first minuite.
Side door was knackered back door was minus top catch
I've ripped off internal plastics to gain access to the uch
Front end was ripped off by the hit and run on April.
Not gonna argue.
Just wish I hadn't had to spend 900 on a new clutch 2 months ago.

Just need to try and find time to get it in the garage for diagnostics.
Mot due 10 Nov hoping to get it in this Friday for a diag then book it in for first week November.
Starting my shed build then so can ditch tools in the garage and run the car.

Braved the rain to get a bit of emergency racking in. Won't be posting photos lol.
Il try and get under the van with a multi meter and see if the reversing switch has power. If not il run a fused line from the battery.

Dragged myself across the wet drive with the torch and multimeter. (Checked the fuse first )
Can't see any wires heading into the box.
Can move the linkages by hand so i know I'm in the right spot.

Then I see it.

Spot the problem.

No wires.


Cast around inside the chassis and find a rogue plug. Unwind it and sure enough it reaches and fits.

Pop the cover and getting 12v from the probes.

Quick clean both sides plug it in and I have reversing lights.

Pins on the socket cleaned up ok. The plug was ,18 inches away from it unfortunately.
Someone forgot to reconnect it.

Not by the previous owner. Cam belt and turbo only afaik ran it for a year and a bit. Thought he might have tracked the issue down. He was training to be a sparkie.
Think he was relying on the rear down facing spots as would hit that and the camera switch at the same time when reversing.
Struggled to park the other night. Had to trail the brakes it was so dark behind.
Need to either find better bulbs or replace the spots on the roof.

Did look to have been carefully tucked out of the way for gearbox removal though. Fingers crossed it's been done.

When I get it in the air il have a look at the clutch. Should be a viewing port somewhere apparently.

Ive got a ‘52 ex gas board iveco 5.5tonner with under floor generator and compressor. Only 2.5 but shes taken some real abuse

Ive also got a ‘10 iveco 5.5 tonner with the 3.0 high power engine and 9000kg gtw . Real useful tool

Had a 7000kg van which I sold, should have kept it as a junk rescue van!

Gave up my mgv licence when I got back to the UK. Was never gonna need it and couldn't be bothered jumping through the hoops required to get it.
Sometimes I wish I'd kept it. Be useful on occasion.

Trip to the garage today. No codes. No issues.
Suspect egr related for black smoke under heavy load.
Going in in a few weeks.

Managed to track down the center light for my rear lightbar and that's now on order.

Now I need to track down replacement reflectors for these.
