My Dremel died shortly after my dad used it to cut up a fibreglass gas meter box, maybe there is something to it.I blow them out after grinding polyester resin / fibreglass, boss reckons it kills the brushes?
I'm not sure...

We use Metabo and they are encapsulated motors, but they also clog the cooling vents in heavy usage and a quick blow out removes much of the accumulated rubbish in there and helps keep them cooler.
