I also have a not so classic by age, but an L200 has to qualify doesn't it. ... Even has a factory fitted cassette player ..

I looked for years for a EH ute when I was a teen, that along with a 1980 FJ Toyota Landcruiser ute would be my ideal choices. This isn't my car.

I am liking the l200I also have a not so classic by age, but an L200 has to qualify doesn't it

I've not got proper classics but i think might be eventually, hopefully. I'll probably thin the fleet to 2 or 3 over time

This is my project, a 79 Mini Clubman Estate. Its nearing the end of having a full shell restoration with many panels replaced to rid the rust. Then its having a heart transplant in the form of a 1.5 Honda D-Series VTEC. Struggling to work in a single garage is one of the biggest challenges, along with lack of time, something common to many im sure.
A couple of older pics as all other recent ones dont show the whole shell. Since had many a panel replaced. The roll over jig has been invaluable and a good way to learn with the new MIG before hitting the shell.

Was that the model described by the Motor Sport editor Bill Boddy as a "tart trap"? Perhaps because the target species were attracted to it, but could not easily escape?

A '63 Morris Mini Minor Super deluxe, standard apart from seatbelts fitted. Still positive earth, single leading shoe drum brakes and retro fitted cross ply tyres.

One of my uncles had the Austin 7 version of the Mini bought new in the first year of production, sadly it was replaced with a new Datsun Cherry and left to rot away round the back of their house.
As a teenager in the early eighties I relentlessly badgered him to let me have the Mini but no instead I had to watch as it rotted away in the long grass.

Friend of mine had one years ago. Rebadged it as a cooper, tried to deseam it, then gave up and threw it away...

Wow bet he's kicking himself now.
I did suggest at the time, it wasnt the best plan. He did daft things like that for years, several failed businesses, made a bit of a reputation for himself and then fell upon a really good way to make bundles of money legally. He's minted now so he's probably not bothered. Last time I saw him, he blanked me.

Here is my current project a Saab 96 V4. I'm a bit of Saab nut and this is my third 96V4, so I sort of know my way around these wonderful cars. It had been a non runner for years and was a pile of pieces thrown in a box. I have a neurotic condition that makes me believe all machines have a soul, if I'm right this, one just wants to die and it hates me for trying to make it live again. It's fought me every inch of the way, in every respect. It started out as just making it road worthy, then I changed my mind and decided I wanted to make it a rally replica. In hindsight I wish I'd done stuff in a different order and I wish I'd stripped it right down and had it sprayed to start with, but I didn't. The engine has been out three times , once to rebuild it and twice to sort the clutch 
(Manufacturing fault). In it's favour, it's needed little welding.
I got a local welder fabricator to make and fit a roll cage from ROPT510 and make a one off stainless steel exhaust. It's got bucket seats which I'm having reupholstered and 4 point harness. I put myself on an excellent automotive paint course earlier this year, just so I could start painting my own cars. Quick plug for my paint guru https://www.autopainttrainingcentre.co.uk/ Also a quick shout out to my new buddy Parm well known on this forum who took the time to put me straight over buying the correct air fed visor.
Now I'm prepping it in readiness for paint. Not a fan of white cars to be honest and had I stripped it right down I probably would have changed the colour, but too late now, so it remains white. I have too many other project on the go to spend the time again. I could go on forever about what I've done and want to do, but this is what I started with!
