mmy brothers rav 4 isnt a classic, but is compliant or free of lez zones etc so proves a very handy run about when you need to go into town/bristol etc , 51 reg and still going strong although at about 25mpg isnt exactly economical !
I was at the National Motorcycle Museum recently. Not really into bikes but I picked up a couple of the free magazines they were giving away in the shop. Prices in 1988:I recently was ordered to come and remove a hoard of car magazines from my mum and dad's, these are from 35 years ago, Practical Classic and the like. Flicking through the classifieds in some of them would make you cry, the asking prices seem like peanuts
Did you find your "other" magazines in the stack too ?I was at the National Motorcycle Museum recently. Not really into bikes but I picked up a couple of the free magazines they were giving away in the shop. Prices in 1988:

I just did Go Compare and ended up with Performance Direct for £100, 3k a year on my Saab 900 turbo. Proved to be optimistic insuring it. Thought it was nearly MOTable. It isn't. I like RH of all the brokers, but they seem to be getting more expensive now. I spoke to Lancaster the other day, to make sure they had the correct vehicle and modifications details. Supposed to be a specialist in this field, but I got the impression the young guy I spoke to knew diddly squat about cars, especially older ones.I renew every year with RH Insurance. It just works and you get to speak to real people in this country.
