Just bought a Cast Iron Chiminea and I am concered about it rusting and staining my Indian Stone patio. Is there some sort of a trough or base available to stop this and will the heat crack the slabs?

I take it the legs stand it about 6/8inches off the ground?

Will it be moved or kept in the same place?

You can buy vht paint that’s cheap as chips and repaint it every year or so

Brick acid will shift them - unless you like them as a feature, of course.

Get some decent chunks of hard wood.

Bore some holes into them to fit the legs and place it into them.

A simple metal tray, painted with fire grate paint will collect the ashes etc.

For stains, citric acid and washing up liquid will shift the stains.
