Cheep Digital Camera.

@zx9 I bought a new 550d then when the 5d mk3 came out I bought a mk2 second hand, much cheaper than new, however I now have a split screen and battery grip with the 550, so when shooting digital I tend to grab that as I have adaptors for pretty much every lens I own to eos (I have a split screen in my EOS 3 too)

I like the mk3 M, alltho the electronic viewfinder is very very spendy

Mine was the Epson Photo PC800 - it had a removable SD card and could be tethered to a PC, I recently replaced it with a Nikon P610 16 Megapixels for £209

The original M got a right panning when it was new and I would have been unhappy with it as a £500 camera but as a £150 camera I am very happy. I think the only real complaint I have is the very short battery life which it is known for but I think my used battery has spent a lot of time discharged which would account for the spotless condition of the rest of the camera / lens / flash. I was looking for a holiday / events camera not as big as a SLR and better results than my G11, it fits the bill perfectly, I just need an EOS to EOS M adapter and I will be able to use all my C/Y Zeiss glass on it.

Have to agree with that, some days I just grab my Fujica ST605n and a 50, light enough, bullet proof and doesn't mind the rain as the only electronics are a match needle meter that I often don't even use

The only problem we had with cameras using AAA batteries was battery life, you always had to have lots spare and keep on top of recharging. I bought a little Pentax Optio thing on ebay and the battery on that was ten times better than my older camera.

first digi cam i had was the jamcam camera 16mb internal memory extended by a memory card ive upgraded from that camera to a fuji and upgraded 2 more times

ive now got a 8.3m fuji

but the samsung m3 mini takes some nice pics as well

I remember a review when digital cameras first came out, basically they said "it'll never catch on."

Remember reading the same comments about Bluetooth!

I had a Canon D450 EOS and Canon IS 70-300 USM lense and the 18-55 kit lens supplied with the body and was thinking that I'd like a point and shoot so I could take it on the bike and get some nice shots. I happened to be on a course in Aberdeen and called into Jessops and asked what they had that was comparable with the 450 and he said almost anything in the shop is now comparable with one!!! Haha.

I decided after a little light reading that I would look for a Sony RX100 (Mk1 or Mk2) but stumbled across a Sony WX350 on the bay with some debris on the sensor for £40 so managed to get it and within half an hour of it arriving in the post it was cleaned and back together and is an amazing camera. If anything happened to it and I even if I had to pay full retail I would get another, which says a lot I suppose.

I sold the 450 kit and lens for £340 on eBay, (cost me a damn sight more though when new!) and the Sony is now my only camera.

no i was taken there but only camera i had was the phone and i wasnt the only one that had a camera phone either

I started off with a Fuji Finepix 1300 (1.3mp) then a Casio Exilim, LUMIX FZ38 (which I've still got).
Fancied a DSLR so bought an old Canon 350D then worked my way through a 40D, 50D, 7D and now have a 7D mk2.
I also have a little LUMIX DMC-F3 and a Canon Powershot SX260.
