For the one millionth time I have dropped and lost a nail in the grass. Normally I wouldnt worry but I drive the tractor on this bit! Can anyone reccomend a cheap metal detector to find nails and screws in this sort of situation? £50 would be top of the budget really. I just want something that will find the shrapnel i drop on the surface!

Magnets won't work if they happen to be stainless nails, brass screws....

How sure are you where it was dropped?
If it's in a small area, I have one of these for finding nails etc in wood, and it can be set to be very sensitive. Hands and knees job though...
