Changewheels storage

I know a few have posted photo's of their racks in the past. I'm just after some ideas as to how to store mine, as I'm currently going through them all and derusting/cleaning them and then waxing them. I was thinking of something along the lines of sloped sheets of MDF or similar, with wooden dowels protruding for pegs. Reason I was thinking of sloping the boards backwards towards the top is so that the pegs aren't as stressed. Feasible, or any better ideas?

Mine had this fitted for change wheels. Depending on how it cleans up I might replace with the lower image from a mk2

nice makes my bent up 3" nails seem inadequate...

Mine are all on 1 piece of 12mm round rod that is welded to a flat plate bolted on the wall, bent upwards slightly. Would be a good idea to have a decent rack, must watch this post.

Mine are in an old ice cream tub with a bit of oil, the ice cream was vanilla which was an added bonus.

I had considered stands, pigeon holes etc., but all in there may well be 50+ to store, (quite a few duplicates), as it'll be for storing them all from each machine together. Hence it'll be a separate peg for each size. One good point about sticking with a specific brand is that there's no risk of mixing them up.

The finnicky part of me is wanting them racked.

Make a timber rack for the regular set and store all the duplicates in a box somewhere with anti-rust.

But what if I get more than one up & running? If I'm going to make a rack, might as well have it storing the lot. It's no extra work to do so.

Last lathe the 140 a full set was stacked inside the cabinet with chucks and steadies etc. May have changed twice in 10 yrs, too much faffing about.
Current lathe dont need them.

Mine sit in a drawer but I really should also come up with something more organised. I swap and change mine all the time
The lathe is cutting threads as often as removing material.
If myford did a box for the 10 I'd pay whatever they wanted for it. Swapping those wheels about all the time is a royal pita.

I can refuse it. He's a myford hater. He'd probably bash it together with 3 inch nails so they would scratch the paint work.
