I struggle with written sarcasm. Presume you got the original point. Occurred to me after posting. :/Picky picky - it'll be a box, with gears in.
I dunno, kids today wanting the world on a plate![]()

Ahhhhhh I see now. Sorry mate I'm a bit slow today.I paid £65
Back to the originalMine are in a sealed plastic bag covered in oil, although I am thinking of upgrading to a take-away container

Saw this old dog for sale, I liked the wooden rack under it for the change wheels, which I presume is meant to stand upright

A couple of rods, sticking out of the wall, does for me. My Myford wheels are just stuck on there at the side of the lathe. But I've only got a dozen or so.... seems to be enough for everything I've needed so far though.
I'd love to have the spare wall space to have a changewheel shadow-board!![]()
Better than having them buried in boxes everywhere though. There's still one partial set which I haven't managed to find yet due to, (hopefully
), being buried in a box somewhere.Aye, that stand goes upright and than the gears slide in. That has some big gears.![]()
Mine sit in a drawer but I really should also come up with something more organised. I swap and change mine all the time
The lathe is cutting threads as often as removing material.
If myford did a box for the 10 I'd pay whatever they wanted for it. Swapping those wheels about all the time is a royal pita.

I think I'll miss out stage one and go straight to the upgrade.Back to the originalMine are in a sealed plastic bag covered in oil, although I am thinking of upgrading to a take-away container

I am feeling guilty now, all I did was a quick tooth brushing with WD to remove the hardened grot, dried them off with a rag then a wipe over with some GTX.On a side note, I'll be glad when all of these are done. It's a tedious process cleaning, derusting, waxing and then buffing, by hand, this amount of changewheels.
Yeah a big old machine. The listing reads 'great man cave bar conversion possible'. Even though its old and probably not too usable, I still find that demise sad. Hate machines as furniture!

Not fond of the furniture "creaters" myself, either. Steampunk references are another thing which annoy the crap out of me.

£5000? !!!
Right I'm going to cut my Chester lathe/mill in half and make some chairs or coffee tables. The plebs that buy this sort of stuff won't know its a Chinesium copy....![]()
