a lot of people who use chainsaws poo poo the electric ones namely because they have never used one . once they have they realise what they were missing . light fast and easy to use
They used to beat children that were left handed at school! Force them to use their right hand. Now they aren't allowed to beat kids anymore the lefties will rise again wha ha ha!
One thing I've never understood about this lefty or righty business is why is there significantly more righties than lefties in the world ? With most things in nature there is an even split, unless by selective breeding we have skewed that balance ?
I don't think it's even hereditory.
Bought a dewalt strimmer a few weeks back as I have batteries already. Very impressed tbh. Low speed is fine for general mowing and top speed its hard to notice performance differences to a petrol cutter of a similar size. Other than weight and ease of maintenance. My neighbour was using his battery strimmer yesterday, peak power and torque is similar to my Stihl and has a forty minute duration, fifteen minute charge. It shares the same battery with his mower which is made by a completely different firm so it seems that battery and charger commonality is beginning to happen at last.
He described a nice advantage (that he hadn't bought but had seen) which is a small backpack for the battery and a cable to the tool making the strimmer incredibly light and comfortable to use.

there's a few experts who seem to know about left handed people and safety that are right handed
blipping it for no reason between cuts..
For anybody happy with an electric one, we bought this from Screwfix:

It's been great for clearing our garden and the chain stops instantly as soon as your fingers let go. I would be terrified of a petrol one, but these are very easy to use and not so scary. You need to buy the oil for it as it's not included.
